40g dang that’s bigger then the pictures made it look (wish Amazon could pull that off)Total of 40 gallon ato have to drill the top piece and also plumb it through the topper. It will enclose the whole system and help with kids putting anything in there. Getting more and more excited ocd kicked in though i am probably going to trim the silicone from the interior and redo it just not happy with the interior seal could be done better the tape placement was a little off so it pulled at the silicone when removing all these things will be done different on the big build. Will do a dry set mock up again with the bigger tank and then tape off the interior so it is spaced correctly for the interior seal. Still pretty excited about it non the less
It will have a drill hole in the middle for the bulk head and runner to the sump then one hole front side that will have a threaded seal to fill up the ato as well as 2 breather holes for for air escape. Gonna make it kid proof and accident proof pretty much so that way nothing can contaminate the rodi. And yes i agree wish amazon could make things appear smaller in pictures you buy something thinking your getting a deal and then boom it comes in all mini lol.40g dang that’s bigger then the pictures made it look (wish Amazon could pull that off)
Make sure you don’t seal it up too tight. I popped my first ato before realizing the air inside needs a place to escape when the water starts filling it up.
Nice dude your rockin n rollinIt will have a drill hole in the middle for the bulk head and runner to the sump then one hole front side that will have a threaded seal to fill up the ato as well as 2 breather holes for for air escape. Absolutely. Mines a 55 because I hate filling up oftenKind of reminds me of a 40g cube tank bro i think i did it right. Go big or go home right lol.
Ocd has got me by the hair though lol I can see the wavy lines and just idk for how this build is gonna be end result i feel as if i should do it right. That thing looks great. If the structure is solid, I probably wouldn't be cutting it away from the inside and resealing. Save that for the sump.
Yes and no lol it has a drill press that i can make work thats for sure lolThe shop got any Crl drill press?
I also did this with clear silicone since it was my first attempt and tester so to speak. The seals on the other will be done with black which is unforgiving when using so tried my shot with clear. That thing looks great. If the structure is solid, I probably wouldn't be cutting it away from the inside and resealing. Save that for the sump.
