This was my solution to hard plumb my UV light. It is attached to my main return, and will feed back into my refugium via locline, to keep the chaeto spinning, without having to add an additional pump.

I know it is a hot topic of how to plumb your UV under the cabinet. I've never seen it done this way, so I thought I'd share.

Looks nice, but remember that every elbow adds head pressure.

Probably not a big deal since powerheads provide most flows and people don't amp their sumps up. But something to keep in mind if your pump is on the smaller side.

Its likely fine since he will need to reduce flow quite a bit with that gate valve prior to the elbows.
If it was a full flow run, i would be worried too.

Correct. It's pretty much straight piped back into the tank, with only 1 elbow.

I will need to heavily reduce flow to the UV, so I wasn't concerned about the additional elbows. I'm still going to have to close that gate valve quite a bit.

are you going to be able to change the bulb without disconnecting the entire thing?

Nope. That's why I put the unions on there. So I can disconnect and slide it out.
