Happy Friday Reefers!

Okay, so we didn't get to test ALL the options out there, but today we test the top three on our site to determine if different calcium reactor media types have similar or vastly different Max Saturation points.

Oh...and we throw a little cost/pound analysis near the end! ;)

@randyBRS

Really good stuff.

Can't click just one on your poll.

Running the Reborn with 10% of ZeoMag in stage one, with the regular (discontinued.. :() Arm media in stage two.

Like running a constant tiny stream at a higher melting point.

How far out is the trace element test?

Thanks, Freddie

@randyBRS do you have any experience with the seachem media? Was using reborn for 5 years and never had any issues. Because reborn is probably not comming back anytime soon I switched to ARM and it doesn't melt good. It also tanked my aquariums PH dropping it down to 7.6.

I’ve been using 40lb bags Of Carib sea crushed coral sand for a few years now. Look identical to ARM and a fraction of the price. I haven’t done any analysis on it but it’s coral and sand.. have not noticed any adverse affects. Also use bleached and dechlored dead coral skeletons. I recycle

I'm sorry, but I don't. I've personally used the ARM and the TLF media. I did find that media like ARM and Brightwell are very similar material, just different sizes, in which case they tested similar in relation to max saturation.
