DILEMMA! 180 Glass or 300g Acrylic ?

I’m about to purchase one of these aquariums.

180 glass eurobraced with steel stand.

300g acrylic with steel stand.

both are legit manufactured, no isssues. The problem is I’m commuting 3 hours in a trailer. Both are same price. I am in dilemma!!

Reef tanks need more frequent cleanings, I think algae grows faster/thicker. And the algae like coraline encrust and needs a good scraping to come off. Plenty of acrylic reefers here tho. I’m sure there’s lots of forums you can pick tips from and use as guides.

I don't know about that never use acrylic for a reef stuff, I have had acrylic before and while I prefer glass acrylic is not that bad.

If acrylic scratches you can buff it out a lot of the time. Cant do that at all with glass.

Main reason NOT to go with the 300 IMO is that your setup and operating costs go up.

I am looking for an aquarium. i'm moving from a red sea reefer with ultra clear glass. Would there be a big difference moving from glass to acrylic?

I just got an acrylic 7 gal. Just putting the rocks in gave me a nice scratch, maybe 3 inches long and enough to feel with my finger nail. I'd say glass better

Definitely go with the glass you look at acrylic and it scratches LOL.
I had a 220 acrylic I ended up selling it to a freshwater guy and went to a 180

I would do 300 but then the acrylic scratches easy and like the fact the 180 is not rimless
