Been battling dinos in QT (dino x works great, BUT they came back... twice now). My snails (~ 20, various types) and hermits (6 blue legs) are almost done with their 45 day quarantine.

If I transfer the snails and hermits, will dinos overrun my DT? DT is about 1 year old, with lots (not tons, but alot) of hair algae and red turf algae (I’m hoping the 2 turbos will eat the red turf algae).

I plan on emptying, cleaning and restarting the QT, but I’m just not sure about transferring the sails and hermits in case I transfer the dinos into the DT. Any advice from experienced reefers would br appreciated.

PS I don’t need advice on how to fight dinos, I’ve read and tried everything, just need advice on transferring snails or not. Thanks.

Sure, thanks, I’ll try to post tomorrow or Monday. Since i blow the bubbles off of the glass and rock every night, hoping the uv will nuke the dinos, not much to see right now (some foam floating on top of the water is about it). After a couple hours of light tomorrow they’ll be getting going again and I’ll snap a few pics, although they aren’t to bad yet (mainly just tons of bubbles on glass), since I finished latest dino x treatment about 10 days ago, so they are just now recovering and getting going again (even with po4 between 0.05 and 1.0).

Hopefully these are clear enough to make out all the dino bubbles on the rocks and filter housing.
