Hey all so after working a few double shifts I finally got to look at my tank and can't tell you think this is DINO or just natural progression? Thanks everyone

The second set of pics look like cyanobacteria. Regardless of what it is just concentrate on keeping nutrients in check, up the flow etc and wait a couple of weeks before taking any drastic action. You can also try siphoning it out while you wait.

Probably just some brown algae, not dinos. I'm dealing with a minor outbreak in a tank that almost 20 years old because I let the PO4 get too high.

So I used a 1/2 hose and it came right off the rocks. So I'm gonna say not a algea with phosphate at 0.22 can cyano appear brown in color?

It could be but in my system cyano has always been quite red. I've got the same thing going on and my PO4 tested at 0.193 yesterday and that's down from a high of 0.359 a month ago. The stuff I have seems to at least be stalled and not spreading too fast but it's still there. Keep doing what you're doing and it'll get knocked back. Unfortunately the stuff in my tank grows on the bottom and I can't really remove it with a siphon without taking up a bunch of sand so I'm stuck with just stirring it up the best I can.
