Hey all,

I'm dosing kalkwrasser from my ATO. Trying to figure out how to disable the ATO and send an alert if PH goes above 8.5.

I have my ph probe and ATO setup and working just fine.

I'm new to reef-pi, but loving it so far.

Thanks

Do you have a controller? You don't need a complete aquarium controller just a simple Milwaukee or similar (about $130). You plug in your ATO to the outlet on the controller and set you desired 'off' point. When the pH reaches that level, power is shut off, doesn't have alerts sent to phone just visual alarms. If you want alerts sent then you'll have to invest in higher function controller.

My reef-pi is doing my ATO via a relay controlled by reef-pi. I realised there are control options in the pH controller in reef-pi that allow me to trigger a macro if the pH rises or falls against set thresholds. This has resolved my query. Thanks :)

declare a macro (reversible) to enable/disable the ato and control that macro with ph module.
I have not tried it personally, but this should be doable. Let me know if you find any issues.
