Subscribed to news letter, and I think that adopting coral is a great idea to help fund the saving of the coral reefs, especially sense it gives you a certain coral so that you can see the actual impact of your donations.

one reason coral reefs are important to us is that they are a buufer between the shorelines and wave action, preventing shore erosion and providing other ecosystems such as mangrove forests.

I appreciate the stewardship program the Reef Institute has implemented. I wholeheartedly agree that the future depends on our youth and it’s wonderful to see children being educated on the importance of saving our oceans!
Coral reefs are extremely important in aiding the development of new medicines for diseases such as cancer, arthritis, human bacterial infections, Alzheimer's disease, and heart diseases, as well as viruses.
