There are so many admirable aspects of this work. Very informative website - their coral monitoring initiative is important to potentially restoring reef populations:
“Peanut Island’s artificial reefs have been growing and propagating coral since 2005. The Reef Institute is identifying fish and coral previously unobserved this far north on the Florida Reef Tract.” That’s awesome! Subscribed.

Their only request was that we use this giveaway as an opportunity to introduce you all to The Reef Institute and make sure you are aware of the great work they're doing to give back to the ocean reefs we love so much!

Visit The Reef Institute website (CLICK HERE!), subscribe to The Reef Institute's newsletter (on their homepage), and make a post in this thread about 1 thing you learned or liked on the site. Winner will need to verify they are subscribed to the newsletter.

If it is not claimed within 3 days we will do a re-pick and so on until the prize is claimed.

Coral reefs are literally the building blocks of the ocean. Almost everything needs the reef to either grow or get food. Reefs are used as navigational markers to turtles and other marine life.
