Subscribed. Love how they are getting schools and young children involved and educated on the reef. Also my favorite coral is any euphylia.

Bonus 3: Corals are part of the overall marine ecosystem. Without the corals, it could/would be devastating to the rest of the marine life in one way or another (nevertheless including our oxygen supply).

They are trying to bring awareness to our depleting reefs and trying to rebuild them.

Subscribed to the newsletter!

I learned that they are based in South Florida (West Palm). As a fellow Floridian (I live in Northeast FL), I'm proud to have such an active and important coral conservationist organization here in the Sunshine State!

Why are coral reefs important? I feel like they are a litmus test for our environment and our planet's biosphere. Once we start to lose coral reefs, it kicks off a nasty chain of extinction events all over the world.

I love the idea about adopting a coral! Last year I told the guy at the Christmas tree farm he should have a section of trees to adopt. People could come decorate them each year and see how much it had grown. I would rather adopt a coral in Florida than a tree in Minnesota! Ha

It’s hard to believe by 2050 90% of the worlds corals will be gone. That’s so sad!!! I subscribed!!
