We will be staying at the Hyatt as well. I used priceline and started at $48 dollars but they didn't except the bid until $63. I'm not complaining though, $63 is still better that the $100+ I was quoted on other sites. We haven't been to the Hyatt in years, but they just finished a renovation. So it should be as nice or better than we remember. The rotating restaurant/bar is a great place for a drink after dark.

We're looking forward to meeting everyone!

Is there any pet stores you would recommend visiting while we are there for the weekend?

hurm..pet stores in the area... there are only a handful that have saltwater fish and corals.

Hoffer's Tropic Life (about 25 min from downtown)
Aquatics Unlimited (15 min from downtown)
The Fish Factory
The Feed Bag (its in grafton a bit north of here)

and I would suggest a few other places like Paul's Corals and Midwest Saltwater..but they are going to be at the swap, so you will see them anyway.

Actually now that I think of it the WRS club has a Vendor Experience section on the site wireefsociety.com • View forum - Vendor Experiences

Hope that helps.

getting the hyatt was just luck cuz the "name your price" choosed a hotel with in an area you select that will give you a room at the price your asking for...so far it seems that the hyatt is the one its ben picking....there is a sports bar in there too i do believe...:)

if your looking at the pic of the movie that i posted...the swap is on the left of the pic in the front side of the building....your looking at the back in that pic...

you know that round section on top is a rotating restraunt called the polaris room..

I think I went there for dinner once about 10 years ago. If I recall correctly it ended up costing me about $65 for 2 meals. Can't even imagine the pricing now if it's the same place. :squigglemouth:

Actually I was going to look it up for you guys. It looks like they closed it for remodeling just after easter. So no spinning room. Our Fish Fry is pretty good, the onsite Caterer is Bartolotta's. They own probably 3 of the top 5 places in milwaukee.

however milwaukee does have its fair share of interesting places. (I left out the places where you would have to take out a second mortage to pay for)

The Safe House The Official Safe House Home Page Crazy spy themed place, kinda hard to find because they take the theming seriously, the little door is labeled International Exports and if you are in there before 8pm you have to find the magic lever to open the secret door. After 8 you have to know the password, or do something goofy. If you aren't in to goofy, there is a back entrance for cheaters. There is a bar called the Newsroom around the corner which has an open entrance.

The Velvet Room Welcome to the Velvet Room swanky martini bar with good food.

If you like very good German food there is Mader's www.madersrestaurant.com

River Front Pizzeria Bar and Grill Riverfront Pizzeria Bar & Grill

Wicked Hop http://www.thewickedhop.com/

County Clare County Clare Irish Inn - Milwaukee, Wisconsin crazy irish place.

and since its milwaukee we have small brewerys that serve great food.
The Rock Bottom Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery - casual dining and brewpub
Water Street Brewery Milwaukee: Water Steet Brewery

and most of the bars in the city reside on Water Street about 1-2 blocks from the Hyatt.

I attached a pic of the whole building from the other side. see how Its two buildings connected by a walkway? We have almost the entire length of the ground floor on this side of the building reserved. For scale, the large white columns are 30' apart.

The other thing that helps..watch CustomColor's video. He showed the inside promenade area in the first section of the video.
