My wife and I bought two dispar anthias from our local fish store 2 days ago who does a 14 day quarantine on their fish. They then sat out for an extra week on display before we purchased them. The one on top is doing great is eating 3-4 times a day when we put calanus in the tank however we never saw the bottom one except for the last feeding yesterday and when he ran out of then rock work tonight and perched on a rock breathing heavy until eventually died. He had no white spots, no red scars I don’t know what could have happened. I would love any insight.

Check tank parameters and everything is normal. Other fish are doing great (2 clownfish, blue eye kole, one spot foxface) A5E282DC-9444-4585-854D-93439907130F.jpeg BF06E508-F868-42EA-8A5A-99EA7064DC85.jpeg

Did you acclimate them and how and for how long?
Additionally how old is your tank? They are not the fish you want to place in a new tank which is subject to chemical changes, nitrate and ammonia spikes

Yes, acclamation process was a 30 min float to stabilize temperature then I placed in one cup of water every 5 for 30 minutes.
Tank is about 3 months old, I have not had ammonia register in the past 2 months.

What test kits are you using ?
You acclimated for 30 minutes total?
