DIY Mortar Mix

Looking at getting my rock structure secure. Using Marco rock but not really wanting to fork out the money for their mortar mix kit. My thought was to possibly use Rapidset Mortar mix and Acrylic fortifier from Depot. Way more material for half the cost. Has anyone ever used it or have any feedback? Thanks!

I made my own concrete mix... You can read through my build thread if you want. The link is in my new thread in the "monster tanks 400g +". It's titled 600 gal restart. Might give you some ideas.
