Hi all
Just a quick question, as I am trying to maximize the under-sump access without raising the sump any higher--
I know the standard design that has been circulated on here and other forums with the multicolor wood.. question is this: If my sump is 60"x15" at the base, if I plan on using a center support across the long side of the sump, is it acceptable for me to downsize from 2x6" top framing to 2x4" top framing ? Do I have to double up the 2x4 top framing? I have attached a picture to show what I mean.. I also plan on removing the front part of the bottom frame so it sits directly on the floor. (edit - yes I would also have to have a center support across the back of the tank too if the 2x4 on the front works?)
