Single most impressive tank I ever saw was a 4’ display of wall to wall zoas. WOW! I’d love to keep them, unfortunately my angels love them too :(

What kinds of angels? I need some zoanthid eaters badly.

No hate but I don’t like them. Too invasive. Had them as a newbie but none now. Tank is mature and can support SPS so that is what it is now. SPS looks more like the real reef to me.

I have a bunch of large angels, and they all eat zoas - asfur, emperor and regal. Dwarfs are less problematic.

1. Do you like zoanthids and if so why or why not?
Heck yeah! They're brightly colored and seem easy enough to grow.

2. What's your hands down most favorite zoanthid?
I answered this question here. But to quote me:

Goblins Fire Zoas. I know they're not the most expensive or colorful coral, but man I love the color of the green in the center contrasted by the orange outside.

I love them. I want to do a heavy sps tank but they are soooo touchy I view them as almost waiting to die. In such an expensive hobby I like zoas and things that are a bit cheaper and easier to recoup costs on with frags after a few months.

Also a big fan of classics like eagle eyes, dragon eyes, bam bam. They don't look any worse than they did a decade go and now are dirt cheap.

I like them but I can't keep them so I don't love them. I only tried once a year ago. I think my nutrients are too low for them. I also can't keep leathers for the same reason. I might try again if the right opportunity presents itself.

To be honest, I love the colors and variety they come in. However the toxin still scares me a bit. But, I think I'm still going to be brave and get some for the color they can add to the tanks.

I love Zoas! I have a pedestal rock that will be my zoa garden in the DT. I love the colors and they are super fun. My favorite is a toss up between Sunny D's or Rastas. I want a good sized colony of both lol
