My goal is LPS dominant and few softies.

my DT is 3 ft long 55 gallons plus 10
Gallons sump. My tank has 1” deep Fiji pink sand. I have two MP40s mounted on the back wall on each side both running at 10% which is about 1800 gph each as per Mobius. I also have VorTech M2 running about 410 gph before going through reactors and corners so it should be less than 410 gph.

do I have enough, too low, too much?

It looks like you have about 72ish turnover rate in your tank. That’s a TON of flow that would be like a high flow SPS dominated tank. I personally prefer 15-30 turnover for a LPS/softie tank but if you have corals and they’re happy don’t change anything.

How did you calculate that?

Every tank is different and your aqua scape has a lot to do with it, but sounds like a pretty solid set up, I may lower the 40s in 5% increments to see what happens. I always judge my flow by how clean my sand bed it is. I also like to put a little Reef Roids in front of the main pump nozzle and make sure it dust the whole tank, it helps me find dead spots.
