Salinity had jumped to .029 I guess over the past few months from calc, iodine, mag, and other dosing I'm doing. They were not fully extending I lowered the salinity to .025 over 2 days. They look alot better, but they still dont seem to be fully extended? This is a morning photo lights just came on I'll take another one around 5ish. They tend to be most open around then.

Other Params;
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate >5
Phosphates. 02
Alk 9.6
PH 8.3
Temp 79
Calc 440
Mag 1390

Good morning mate, They look fine, Just remember to try and keep the system stable. I am a little worried about your salinity jumping from dosing additives, as I have never had this experience. I am wondering if you are doing water changes, have an ato, or doing anything along those lines where the salt is being put into the system or fresh top off is not going into the system. Where are you getting your additives if you believe the salt increase is stemming from those?

I do a 20% monthly water change. Top off with 1.5gal of fresh ro/di water every night. 2 part calc and alk every other day, mag is as needed, iodine is once per week. I do alot of phyto and spot feeding. Had a lot of salt creep maybe when I cleaned the return line some fell in?

Plus maybe a mixture of laziness/cluelessness for not checking salinity for the past month. Everything seemed good just didnt include it in my daily testing. Forgot how vital it can be.
