So I’ve been looking at used Waterboxes and Red Sea Reefers for a few months now and finally scored a Waterbox Reef 130.4 in a trade. In my search, I noticed this issue on multiple stands from both manufacturers. Waterlogged bottom boards in the cabinet from splashing in the sump area. Fortunately it wasn’t too bad on mine and was the only significant damage on the stand. To prevent further damage, I simply ran a bead of white GE Advanced silicone in the cracks. Had a whole tube so figured why not go all the way up the sides and do the other compartment in the cabinet as well just in case I decide to plumb in a remote fuge or ATO reservoir in there. The silicone, caulk gun, and moulding tool probably cost me around 20 bucks at Walmart, a no brainer to a competent reefer with a new Waterbox. 771EB48F-82E8-4AFB-A9F3-B08CD9A2D8B7.jpeg EF8C8CFA-8A52-4EAA-B698-00AA1035823A.jpeg DFCAA6E4-60D1-47D7-9F60-743B9E3ABE42.jpeg 2A801D98-BAC4-4ED6-8B35-7FEB011AEF67.jpeg

I did the same on my Reefer 250 when it was new except I used clear which is now yellow. White would have been better with white stand.
