So I’ve been battling this crazy nuclear Godzilla algae for almost a year now. Just shortly after I started dosing ammonium chloride (probably not related…but just maybe). A dozen replacement metal flipper blades, a brand new tunze care strong plus as everyone gave it glowing recommendations, a dozen replacement metal tunze blades, and having to manually and quite forcibly scrape from inside the tank (like a paint scraper, not using the exterior magnet). Freakin ridiculous. I had heard about @4daquatics ceramic blade upgrade for the tunze a long time ago but was hesitant as I figured I would dig into the seams on accident with my vision. @Sisterlimonpot (thanks again!) just recently helped me out verifying my salinity as my apex happened to be trending down, my Milwaukee digital trending up, and not being able trust my talking scale when making Randy’s salinity standard. He noticed a bunch of spots where I missed this Godzilla algae and recommended the ceramic blade conversion for the tunze….Life changer! Like a hot knife through butter. No more pretending that I’m an eighties dj scratching records, feverishly moving the scraper back a forth. No more muscle cramps from scraping with all my might while cutting off circulation to my arms dangling over the rim to the bottom of the tank. I know I most likely scratched my glass with all the effort I was putting into removing this algae. These blades are phenomenal! Seriously. If you run into this stubborn algae, don’t waste your time, just order this conversion. You’ll be just as amazed as I! I just should have bought this a long time ago when @reefbeef talked about it. Worth every penny!

When used correctly, this powerful tool can cut through the thickest of coralline algae like a hot knife through butter. Because of the sharp blade, the user must exercise extreme caution when cleaning around the seals of the tank. * Price is for 2 scrapers with ceramic blades* Recommended for...
