Well, just checking the app,
6am-5pm ----Random min.18 % max. 44% high variance
5pm-6:30pm ----Surge max 45% on 4seconds off 5 seconds
6:30pm-12am ----Constant max 38%
12am-6am ----Constant max 41%

I'd like to say there's some method to my madness here, but in reality I just made it all up ;)
Lol @ the method to your madness!!!! Thx for sharing! Good info!

I have 2 Gyre 350's and 2 MP 40's. I run them all on a variable speed during the day. I run them on a constant lower setting at night to allow the fish to relax and sleep.

I run 2 mp10's, 2 jebao pp8's, a nero 3, a gyre, and RFG nozzles on extended locline for my returns in my 80G cube.

All alternating, and I so slow them down at night. Great chaotic flow.

I have 9 WAV powerheads and I have them on many different patterns. So I guess randon is the best answer for me. I wanted to pick all of the above.

I’m realizing by the responses in this post that there’s several “all of the aboves”. I feel like I’ve been living in a cave. Nice to know what others are doing.

What’s the difference between the mode you run in the day vs at night? What’s the time frame you’re using?
I Have 4 MP60s. They run in Nutrient transport mode from 10pm to 630am at 80%. During the day the run in an 14 second pulse gyre mode at 56%.

Do you run your powerheads on constant, random, pulse or other? Not sure if there’s an “other” but if there is please explain. Lol! Additionally, feel free to give your reasoning behind why you chose your setting, what percentage you run it at and the size of your tank. Be as detailed as you like, I like to read. :)

I personally have a preference for random because I feel like that would be the most ocean-like.
During the day, 5secs on, 5 off to create a waving motion. At night low constant
