When my daughter was younger (5 thru 10 years old) she was fascinated with the tank. She’s now 18 and guess what? Her interest is gone.

My son was the one who begged me for a reef tank! He started by asking for a fish for potty training. Then...there was the trip to the store with saltwater tanks at 4. The first night we got ours, he fell asleep in front of the tank. Now, he has his own in his bedroom. He is also a Coral addict.

Welcome to R2R! Awesome tank, what size is it? I'm not looking forward to my daughter getting to the age of trying to sneak stuff in my tank. Luckily it's pretty high up there, the sump room will have to be under adult supervision only. Lol

It is a 4 1/2 month old sps tank 200g

My son loved my tank so much that I ended up setting up a biocube in his room a couple of years ago. He'll make requests every so often of corals he wants me to frag and put in his tank. He feeds his own fish and I'm slowly teaching him how to add his reef elements each week. Not too bad considering how impossible it is to pull an 11 year old away from his mobile devices.
