I do like how you did your DIY sump much better then mines.. Especially for the filter shocks compartment!

Thanks.. I basically took what I liked and didn't like from my Trigger Emerald 26 sump and modified it to what I thought should work. Biggest complaint on my trigger is the sock is behind the skimmer and a pain to get to. This way nothing is in the way, and super easy to change. :)

Not to bore anyone with rock building.. But I'm new to the "aquascaping" front. Usually its been a mound, or a wall down the center.. LOL..

So I added 3 more rocks from my old tank to my new centerpiece. I had a nice long flat rock I moved to the bottom. It made a better foundation piece than the other one. I felt the one had too many pressure points, and didn't want to have issues. (it will be taller, still adding pieces)

Also thinking I will order some tonga branch to give it some additional places to attach corals.

Small update, but we are getting closer.. Ordered the new Jeabo dcp sine wave 15000 pump. This will work for now till I can get my hands on a cor-20. They are on serious back order.. My other jaebo has worked great for over a year, so I'm sure this will be fine. And it will make a great backup just in case.

Also ordered 100lbs of Hawaiian black sand. (yes I know its magnetic)... And in a couple weeks I am ordering the 60" Aquatic for Life T5-LED hybrid fixture.

More pics soon.

Final rockscape. Also got in a Jaebo 15000 DCP sine wave. New model. Its a BEAST! Just barely fit in the sump area. When I designed the sump I took a guess on the return section. Wow did I get lucky.

I was going to finish the plumbing this weekend, but I needed to order 1 more return pipe. I didn't order enough. Oh well.. Had enough points to get it expedited shipping and free plumbing parts. Thanks BRS!

$3.00 in Spray paint and an old 10 gallon tank. VIOLA.. A new ATO tank color matched.. :)

Also of note, ordered a WYE valve for my return line. I know these aren't the most popular things on the planet. I'll have to watch it to keep the valve clean.. BUT needed that extra security just in case.. I accidentally left the RODI filling the tank when I went to bed. Needless to say, back flow could be an issue. When I finish the plumbing I'll know for sure.

Still building. Put my other Hydor Korellia 3250Gph pump in. I'm seeing good surface agitation, and water movement. Also started my "planning" board. Placeholder till all my toys are in. Will be nice to not have any electrical underneath the tank. Nice and clean.

Settled on the H2 Pro D700 skimmer for my tank. Its the same as the coral box d700 but cheaper. Some local reefers use them and say they work great, so we will see.. New pics soon... All the water is in, and the plumbing is not leaking! So far so good!

Ok. Water if flowing !!! No leaks. Jeabo dc 15000 is cranking along. Couple of minor changes I'll make down the road. 1.) need to drop the tube into the sock lower. 2) going to change out the ends on the return line. They are small flat ends. Might get those alternating current ones BRS is talking about .

Ok, so here it is.. Skimmer is in. This is the H2-Pro DC700 (also known as the Coral box dc 700)... Let me just say that if my plumbing lines had not been this long, the skimmer would never have gone into the sump. But my plumbing lines have a small bit of flex, and WHEW got this sucker in there!
