If you added ammonia to start and it now reads zero the cycle is probably done. If it has been “reset” for more than two weeks it is certainly cycled by now.I’ve recently trip my cycle in fish tank saltwater and i had to restart and now my ammonia is 0 and nitrites is zero just is my nitrates safe or no??
Yeshi! can you give us more info on your cycling process and what level your nitrates are at?
Um there is really no information I can think of just ammonia is zero and nitrites is zero but nitrates are like 80 ppm or more I think however nitrites and ammonia used to be sky high but now it’s not so I think my tank is cycledhi! can you give us more info on your cycling process and what level your nitrates are at?
Just tell me what u need to know tho I can answer ithi! can you give us more info on your cycling process and what level your nitrates are at?
your cycle does seem done. try doing a 50% water change to get your nitrates down a bit.Um there is really no information I can think of just ammonia is zero and nitrites is zero but nitrates are like 80 ppm or more I think however nitrites and ammonia used to be sky high but now it’s not so I think my tank is cycled
For some reason this post didn't come through. This may help those trying to help out.

I put zero ammonia in,,it is at zero cus it got cycledHow much ammonia did you put in? Was it a lobster?
Its a 120 gallon tank would a 50 percent water change with is 60 gallon water change get it down a lot?Do some water changes to get the nitrates down and see what the tests read. You can even do 100% water change if it is a small enough tank. The rock should have the necessary bacteria in it to keep it fully cycled.
Okay how big of a water change should I do the tank for cycled like a week ago and I haven’t don’t a water change yet so should I do a 50 percent water change in my 120 gallon tank which is 60 gallons ?That looks like between 80 and 160 ppm, most probably in between, like 120 ppm. That’s a lot !
If you do a 50% WC your nitrates will be at 40 ppm to 80 ppm, so that’s still too much.Okay how big of a water change should I do the tank for cycled like a week ago and I haven’t don’t a water change yet so should I do a 50 percent water change in my 120 gallon tank which is 60 gallons ?
A 100% water change would actually be good. The more the merrier. However, getting nitrates to below 20 will suffice. If you do a 50% WC your nitrates will be at 40 ppm to 80 ppm, so that’s still too much.
I’m new at saltwater so I don’t know what the best solution is. If it was freshwater, I would do as close to 100% WC as possible.
Let’s wait for an experienced hobbyist.
This is before I do a water change no fish in it eitherSo if you have a 100 ppm (parts per million) a 80% water change would put you at 20 ppm
