I was curious if anyone knows how effective this is for velvet. My fish are fine (not sick or anything), but I was curious if metroplex+focus works at all? I can't seem to find a clear answer on it in regards to velvet other than manufacturers.

@Jay Hemdal Any experience?

I’ve not heard of oral metronidazole treating Amyloodinium/velvet. I checked my copy of Noga, it isn’t mentioned. Metro isnt a primary treatment for velvet, even in the water. Typically, the dinospore is the only form killed by medication, and since they are free swimming, oral meds won’t reach them. Finally, dosing focus with any medication is so much more difficult than people think - you need to know the weight of your fish, the dose for the drug you are using, and the amount of food fed to the fish...see my medicated food article here.
