Do you have other fish? If so do they have any symptoms.

Brook can often look like ich or velvet in the early stages. It is probably Brook from what I can see.

Brook can afflict any fish, but it is most commonly seen on clownfish.

This image concerns me...

Look at the tail fin (also know as the Caudal fin). It looks to have a white powdery coating, so it may be the beginnings of Brooklynella.

- How long do you have this guy?
- Did you quarantine him?
- Did you recently add another fish without quarantining it which may have infected this guy?

The 29 gallon probably already had Brook present.

All fish in that tank will need moved to QT. Treated with Metroplex for 10 days.

The DT will need to be fallow for 6 weeks to allow for Brook in the tank to die off.

What was the last addition to your tank and when did you add it?

Sorry to say we've been seeing a lot of Brook spreading to other species lately. So any fish in the tank could be attacked by the parasites. :(
@HotRocks gave you solid advise above.

No, but your other fish can carry it without symptoms, then when you add another clownfish (or treat this one and put it back in the tank) it will likely get sick again.

I dont have any medicine for this. Do you recommend a fresh water dip to see if that makes difference.

A FW dip will provide some temporary relief until you can get Metroplex.

If you have rally or formalin a bath would also be helpful.

the Clown had been in a 2 gallon bucket and looks better. I am in the process of setting up a 10 Gallon QT tank. I filled the new 10 Gallon tank 1 3rd of the way with new water and salt and i have a heater, air stone, and small power head in there. I put a small sump sponge in my main tank yesterday but i dont think i will have enough time for the bacteria to collect.
Questions:
1: what is the fastest way to setup the QT Tank.
2: I have Kordon AmQuel Plus can i use this?

I moved the clown to the 6 gallon tank he looks alot better i only did 2 freshwater dips. He is the only one in that tank. I setup a 10 Gallon QT tank filled to about 7.5 gallons I caught my blue with yellow tail damsel as he is showing signs of ick or brook. Since i will be going out of town on Thursday and wont be back til monday i wanted to try to treat the damsel in the QT tank as this is my first time doing this. In my QT tank i have 2 pvc fittings, heater, Thermometer, Amonia badge, 2 small pieces of Live rock as i didnt have time for a sponge to billed bacteria and 2 Power heads. I have some Seachem metroplex and Seachem Cupramine Copper 250ml. Can someone provide me instructions on what i should dose and how much?

thanks in advance.
