How did you decide to dose that huge amount? A whole dry tablespoon of sodium phosphate in a few days?
I miss read a calculation on what I was reading... it was my mistake

OK, I wanted to be sure there wasn't a recommendation somewhere that might be misleading folks. :)

I have the ppb Hanna ULR and can confirm the flashing indicates a max reading (in my case, 200ppb right after starting the tank with dry rock).
Well let’s be thankful it wasn’t on my main tank. But I must say my acans are fluffier than ever lol.

I measured out half a tablespoon of Na3PO4. On my scale it read to be about 8.18 grams. Na3PO4 is about 57.93% phosphate by weight. Adding 8.18g to two gallons adds about 4.73g of actual PO4. There are 7.57 liters in two gallons, so your end concentration was around 624 ppm PO4.

It sounds like you have an 80g tank. Dosing 74 mL of the solution you created would increase your phosphates by about 152 ppb (0.152 ppm). Dosing all of it would raise your phosphates by 15,200 ppb (15.2 ppm).

This is a lot, but you'll probably be okay. There have been other reefers who have accidentally dosed similar amounts and they have been fine. Immediately stop dosing PO4 if you haven't done so. Long term, you may need to employ a phosphate binder to lower the levels if they don't come down on their own.
Will be doing smaller water changes daily and check nightly my PO4 I’m having a Dino problem currently we will see how this affects it.

Update testing PO4 every few days and is slowly going down. Doing weekly water changes and running gfo. When testing PO4 with Hanna the water still turns a slightly tinted blue but my last test sampled 0.74. Must just tint blue when reaching a very high reading.

It always turns a form of blue. It’s just that’s it is too faint for our eyes to clearly read, hence the Hanna checker doing that part for us.
Good to know! When I overdosed my tank with phosphates it turned dark blue. Which maxed out Hanna.

Do you see an improvement of your dino problems with the higher PO4??
It went away very fast when I nuked my tank with it. Haven’t seen any downside yet either.

It is commonly found that higher nutrients helps with dinos, probably by allowing the growth of organisms that outcompete the dinos.
