I just made this and put a bunch of brine shrimp in probably too much but I can sometimes see a few come out and I kinda thin the mesh is too fine does it look like it’s gonna work?

Usually you want a shallow container for the brine shrimp, the further they need to go to escape the more energy they waste which equates to lost nutrition. I made the exact build he uses in his book (electrical tape, tubing and a funnel) and it works fantastic but I didn't like the look so I build this out of a conch shell my mom found on the beach.

Another key point to its function is for water to periodically make its way down the tube. This will tumble the brine shrimp and force them off the bottom.

Paul B uses the case that electrical tape comes in. Its about an 1.5 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter that separates. The low profile allows them to easily escape. For mesh I used regular pantyhose which is easy to replace, cheap and free if you live with a female. You will want to give just the slightest stretch so the size it large enough for them to easily swim through.

The mesh you have has much larger holes but to be honest I am not sure how that can negatively effect it. I think its largely a container size issue and making sure some water occasionally goes down stirring up the brine shrimp
