@Miamialum620 look at the InTank website. Are you wanting to try a media basket and fuge? Please let me know. There is a slight cut out(YouTube video) that has to be done. Easier if the tank is empty.

I did check out the intank website the other day and reached out to them (haven’t heard anything back). I liked both the media basket and fuge basket that they had on the site. Innovative marine makes a small refugium light that I’ll look into getting.

I’ll probably try to replicate one of the images below or both if possible. I need to leave space for a heater and I also planned on putting in a UV sterilizer.

Ok. Can you push back your wet date a little until the InTank stuff gets there?

I can. I’m still figuring out what my easiest salt water option would be. I looked into collecting ocean water and there are more steps than I realized. Mixing it my self in class wouldn’t be an option without some type of ro/di and large trash bin. So I’m thinking of just going to my LFS or ordering some nature’s ocean water online and having it shipped to the school to save me some of the hassle.

@Miamialum620 Ok. You have an InTank media basket and fuge on the way! I happen to really like my nanoglo light. They are about 60.00, but maybe you'll get lucky.

Might check if one of you lfs will rent/loan you jugs. One by me rents the 5g ones, you pay deposit and get it back when you return them empty. May be cheaper, easier than buying that many jugs or going back and forth.

My 6 month old decided she would wake up at 3:45 this morning so I’ve been up for a little bit doing some research on what I can place in the different chambers of the biocube. In the first chamber I was looking to put the heater and ideally a protein skimmer that way in chamber 2 I can have the refugium and intank media basket. Finally in chamber 3 I could have the uv sterilizer.

@BadPanda mentioned sending a tunze 9001 skimmer and I wonder if I could fit a refugium in the space that is underneath it. Otherwise I’d have to pick one or the other.

Look at the InTank site. He sells a specific heater and skimmer that work with both. I think you might be able to hang that on the back.

You'll need a fuge light before you'll need a skimmer.

@cromag27 I'm pretty sure these guys could benefit for the equipment you are working on for my son too.

Live sand and timer power strip came in sand. @AlgaeBarn gave me a great deal on some dry rock so that should be here any day now. Things are starting to take shape. I was going to buy some premixed saltwater from my LFS but since Two Little Fishies sent me enough salt for 50 gallons, I will probably go to Walmart and buy some distilled water to have the kids mix it themselves.

I'm showing the books I sent had an attempted delivery Saturday. I hope they came today. I haven't checked on your InTank order, but it usually arrives pretty quickly. I hope it doesn't cause you any inconvenience.

School was closed today so I’ll find out tomorrow if anything came in. I’m not even sure what happens to stuff that is attempted to be delivered on the weekends or days school is closed. I would hope they just retry the next day and not return it to sender.

My stuff is usually delivered to the school through UPS, and they're pretty good about bringing it on a school day rather than the weekend. The few things that weren't able to be delivered due to a snow day or whatever the closure may be were dropped off the following day. Hopefully they do the same there - they're usually really good about stuff going to schools since several things are dropped off daily and it isn't an extra trip.

Y'all are going to have lots of fun with that! BTW, the video on the InTank website is VERY user friendly on how it installs.
