Clarkii enough said, and got zapped pretty good from my fox face. He didn't release venom but got me. I looked it up and read they may not release venom, but you can get a small shock sensation.

The closest I’ve ever come to just stepping out in front of a speeding semi truck was the time I was moving rock in a tank with a big long-spine urchin and had one of the spines go under the nail of my ring finger almost all the way to the base.

I’ve been bitten/poked/stung by just about everything out there (including lionfish), but nothing comes close to that pain.

I also have a series of round scars that look like the Hawaiian Islands on the underneath side of my upper arm from a time I was leaning over the back of a tank scraping algae off the front panel and rested my arm a little too close to a 12” diameter frogspawn. That thing ravaged me.

Love hearing all these stories Hahaa! I had a mama clown that would flip her tail at my arm when I would be moving something or cleaning. Then my starry blenny got the message and would sneak up in my blind spot and pinch bite the back of my forearm. I would always jump like a crazy person even though I knew he was gonna do it every time I put my arm in the tank. Too funny :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Damsels, clowns, lionfish, bristle worms, horn shark, various anemones, mantis shrimp, sea urchins and a blue spotted stingray. And ..when I worked at the Miami Seaquarium decades ago, iguanas, boas, a green moray, macaws, parrots, a night anole, blue crab, black and white tegu and more mosquitos than anyone should have to endure at a job. I was also mouthed by a manatee but that was fun.

Foolish me removed a thunk of black/white sponge with my bare hand. Lost a piece of coral in the sponge - 10cm in diameter and 25cm tall - and I wanted it out anyway.
So I grab the sponge and just broke it of. I tell you that hurt.
I got blisters all over my hand for hours.... bad choice.
Next morning all the Anthias Squamipinnis and my Pintail wrasse was dead.

My clowns are like little water-panthers, just waiting to pounce any time I have to put my hand in the tank! I've also been got by bristleworms and my BTA. I count myself lucky to have never been tagged by my foxface yet!

Let's see...

Poked by a spiny urchin. That one was exceptionally painful! Affected my hand and entire arm for hours. It's one of the only animals I eventually got rid of. Just not worth how risky they are and how big they grow.

Constantly being bitten by my hellish tomato clown. That chunky little beast is like a pudgy torpedo that comes careening towards my arm, nearly every time I reach in. She doesn't like it when I tie a ribbon or something confusing to my hand. Throws her off, so she will leave me alone for awhile.

Sliced the back of my hand open on a JF Space Invader Pectinia, while scrubbing the glass, just the other day. A little swelling, but not too bad.

I used to be fine handling hammer coral. Now it gives me a strange numb feeling and dry skin. Definitely some sort of allergic reaction and definitely counts.

Two weeks later, Still recovering from my wife’s Ritteri stings. Not doing that again.

If my hand is in tank anywhere near where the Sailfin is hiding, tail first ATTACK

P.S yes I know how to spell wear, auto spell check on the other hand does not
