Hey there - curious if you run a UV on your system by chance? Sorry if I missed it. I'm a red sea owner, don't judge me! Love your latest photos. Looking great!!

Thanks! Yep. Aqua 57w. I made a post here with details:

Thanks for reminding us. I am adding a UV to my system to help mitigate disease control and noticed you have a nice batch of fish, so was curious if you had disease mitigation implemented with possibly UV. Do you know approximately what flow you are putting through it? Slow flow vs higher flow? Thanks for sharing!

I buy my fish from a a reliable source. I then spend an hour or two watching them to make sure there is nothing wierd. Depending on the fish, I'll quarantine. I have an achillies tang. I call him my ginnie pig, because if there is anything in my tank, he will get it first. They are a mean fish made of porcelain lol.

I am running a 2000 gph pump at 90%. I have my return line, GFO reactor, and UV. So 1800 GPH. Take away head loss my guess is about 1500 gph. Divide by 3.... 500 gph each. Assuming my return gets a little more flow due to thicker pipping.... I would say 400 GFO/Carbon + 400 UV + 700 return would be a fair guess. Again I added a UV for no reason other than to experiment with and make use of an empty spot on my manifold. The only thing i have noticed so far is that it makes my water temp run about 1 degree higher. So I run it from 7pm to 7am when our AC is very low. I no longer notice a different in temp. I hover at 78.3.

I'm curious how do you have it mounted? It almost looks like it's floating without brackets...
Forgot to post my video!

Tank looks great and I love the flow! What is that damsel and has it shown any aggression?

Just pinched in place. Not going anywhere.

Thanks!!!! The talbot damsel? Great, colorful little fish. Actually pretty shy surprisingly. Excellent purchase for around $10-15$.

One of the last ones added, not sure if that helped. Hasn't been an issue at all.

Well this is the part of the build which can get kind of boring. Not much to do besides watch it grow.

I have some question for you guys. I currently daily dose Alk & Calcium via Apex DOS and DDR. I use to dose Acropower but it was tough to keep my phosphates low (recently fixed this issue by adding 30% more GFO than recommended, keeping my phsohates .01-.04). Still torn if I want to manually dose Acropower (1 or 2 times a week) or let my apex daily dose. I do auto water changes via Apex... 4 gallons every night. I use Fritz blue box salt which keeps my parameters pretty solid.

Long story short, without dosing Acropower, I have an Apex DOS and DDR which aren't being used. Researching what else to dose or just sell them. I know alot of people dose alot of stuff, trace elements, A, B C, Q ... lol. Never paid much attention. Any suggestions or personal experience is appreciated.

Tank is doing great. No fish deaths. Stuff growing well.

Tank looks great my friend!!

Thanks! All I can do now is watch it grow. Hesitant to touch or add anything. Nitrates at a solid 5. Filter media changed out every 4 days. Phosphates are .02-.04, checked almost daily. Running carbon & GFO off my manifold, about 20% more than the recommended BRS amount to keep my phosphates solid. Feed at 10 am flakes and pellets via apex auto feeder (when I'm not home) and two spoon fulls of meaty foods around 4pm. Dosing 4ml of Acropower in the morning each day. I need to check par when I have time. I'm interested to see value at 2pm @ 40% par with diffusers. I adjusted my lighting over the last few months based on how my coral reacted. Slow adjustments every week.

People have been messaging me on my Apex setup and lighting schedule. My lighting schedule has changed a little bit during the build. I run 4x XR30s w/ diffusers. See below.

Got a chance to check par at peak.

Sandbed = 75-100
Middle = 150ish
Top = 200-275

I suspect it would have been an extra 15-45 par higher without the diffusers.
