I did the same thing in a 90g and have been keeping some cuprisorb in but it is no longer turning blue. I think the Hanna checker is off for low range as others have said! In the process of removing copper from a 220g. I just wanted to nuke the ich and velvet after losing $1,000 in fish.

I was in the same boat. Assuming you don't have inverts in the tank, it's good to have this info in your back pocket. I think this info is useful for those who don't have the means to quarantine a large amount of fish.

This is a great thread @Marc88 And you have a beautiful tank and fish.
Thanks for documenting the journey.

Any updates on how everything is doing?

Thank you. My goal is to be informative.
Update, most everything is doing good. Mysteriously lost my Watchman Goby, I had him for two years. I added a few new corals. The only one not doing so great is the green slimer. And the can, I suspect either the file fish or coral bueaty is nipping at it but I haven't confirmed.

All in all I'm satisfied with the results. Still fighting back some algae on the rocks. Slowly added more snals to tackle the problem.

The algae issue is clearing up nice. My filefish was picking at the acan like I expected. He was relocated to the sump. I added a few more LPS, tanks not quite ready for SPS. Now we wait for the tank to mature.

I am not a photographer. That being said, here are some Augus 4, 2020 pictures... The good, bad, and ugly. I would say not quote ready for SPS...

Fish are doing great, corals, alright. I won't be a good litmus test because I reaquascaped a few months ago after seeing BRS's NAS aquascape. I wasn't terribly happy with what I created and wanted to switch it up. They made it look simple, so I changed it up(it was simple). Prior to that I would say corals were surviving.

Wow this is way too risky isn't?
I would say the best way to go is to swallow your pride and go slow and steady. Best not to get into the predicament where you would do this. That's not to say it dosen't work, but it's definitely not the preferred method. Wish I had the tank up longer term but that's not the way the cards played out.

I'm going down this very road Marc88. started yesterday I'm glad I found this thread makes me comfortable in my decision to dose my DT. To be honest it was the " that's it. I'm doing it" thread for me. I just hope I do not attract the copper police (stupid coppers hahaha) to my thread.
