Anyway - Where in the area can I buy DowFlake for Randy's 2-part? Ive called Menards and Home Depot and they said they have no idea what I'm talking about - they probably thought I was crazy for wanting driveway de-icer for a fish tank...

i thought they stopped taking out the borate..people still use it i heard...just keep up on the water changes

i buy through bulk reef supply, may not be a cheap as some driveway salts but... it is my reef tank not my driveway

Thanks! I do bi-weekly 20% water changes religiously. If I'm using the DowFlake - it should keep the bromide within reasonable levels, correct?

From what I remember, the exact level of bromide is inconsistent and can potentially be dangerously high. (I could be wrong - I read it a long time ago AND it's still early in the morning)
