Well its been a while since I updated my thread. Almost a year. Unfortunately, I have to "almost" start from scratch. I have been waiting for a very long time and I appears as though I have been rather trusting of my previous builder. I don't want to publicly disparage anyone, but "if it seems to good to be true, it probably is..." I have a really nice tank stand and some used item's .. that's about it. I am attempting to secure a refund for items not completed, but i have a feeling that may be a challenge. Anyone else have a similar experience with this vendor, please contact me privately.

Im going to modify the stand built for the larger tank. The modified stand will hold the tank 12" higher and provide an 18" step to for rear maintenance, etc. I plan on having the sump perpendicular to the tank also with a custom stand which includes a step up to the tank level.

Better News, I have found a new builder ( Titan Aquatics) in AZ, looking forward to the new tank. Its a bit smaller then I had planned in the past ( due to loss on the first one) the new one is 120"x42"x36" should be here @ September .

I'd message dca22anderson if you haven't already chatted with him (5k concrete build in the monster tanks forum), he also used Bill and is having issue security any of his equipment.

It's a bummer you had to reduce the size of your tank due to him. Stinks you couldn't get money back to create your dream tank! I hope it all works out in the end, I'll definitely be following along to the build.

yeah, I was/am pretty mad, a lot at myself ; for falling victim to this person. I fell prey to "need to pay for materials" . Trying not to dwell on it too much;Maybe a blessing as this will be considerably easier to clean, no scuba gear necessary  thanks for following..

Already contracted for the tank... hopefully see it in 8 weeks..

I can only imagine the frustration. I'm glad you can find the silver and keep moving forward. I think it's going to make for an epic build and I can't wait to see the tank installed. I'll be anxiously waiting for September .

Time for update… received my stands back from the powder coating… enlisted some help from my daughters friend s to move them into place… hoping to have the tank soon.. built some decking into the stands for access.

UPDATE; the Saga continues, I'm trying to find a local ( or not) company ( southeast , MI) to help me move the tank when it arrives. its coming from AZ. I tried to contact a few local installers. Unfortunately, I must have offended them by not utilizing them to source some of my purchases; as they do not wish to work with me. ( no grudges here) I'm more of a DIY guy, hiring help when needed. Seems its all or nothing around here. I had hoped the local Professional Reefing community would be a bit more open, but I suppose a point is trying to be made. Shortsighted as it is... Just surprised...

Never the less I'm looking for some ( a lot) help/hire or recommendations on whom to hire to help me move this tank. it is @1350 lbs. ( 1650 shipping eight) . needs to be moved onto stand from driveway/truck. ( you can see photo from Above post)

Thanks in Advance to all out there.. much appreciated!

I would contact a simple moving company. Beyond that have some suction cups ready to go. Try calling Ray at Tropicorium and see if he has any recommendations.

This is the pet store by me in waterford. They offer help with tank moves.

Spoke with someone, waiting for a call back. Thanks for the referral!
Dan is probably the guy you're looking for. If they don't call back sooner, try again tomorrow around 1 or 2.

When you need help filling it up with coral, there is a large community of reefers in southeast mi that have your back, and at very good prices, or free.
