I still can’t believe my eyes. A few weeks ago while at Reefapaloosa Orlando the family and I decided to stop by WWC after the show and there it was for sale. Basically my dream tank build with all the bells and whistles included. 120g Reef Savy 3/4” glass, custom Geo sump, full Neptune apex system with a trident unit, 2 - mp40s, 3- g4 radions / 4 bulb t5 light, Vectra return pump, 3x battery back up, Royal exclusive 200 mini bubble king skimmer, 2 - dos pumps and more…. To say the least, it was a heck of a deal I couldn’t pass up.

After careful negotiations with the wife (an easy sell honestly, I was shocked she said yes) we decided to purchase our first large tank and take the plunge. Up to this point in my reefing hobby we have only had/ have a 30g AIO tank and this is our first large system. Kinda feel like we went from a Toyota Corolla to a Rolls Royce. Wwc came out this week and set everything up, so we are up and running!!

All my photos are a little cloudy from the fill but it’s starting to clear up. We are beyond excited and can’t wait to watch it grow!

Here are my parameters today…I was recommended by my LFS to dose 2 bottles of Fritz 9 and 5ml of Ammonia yesterday to the tank to start my cycle. This is now 24hrs later.

Things are starting to clear up nicely! Can’t wait for my cycle to complete to at least add a fish or two in the next few weeks.

End goal for this tank will be a mixed reef tank and I plan on trying my luck with some SPS eventually.

That’s an amazing looking setup. Happy to see you get your dream setup.

Quick update on my cycle. Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia all testing zero 12 days after adding my Fritz & 5ml ammonia dose. Today, I dosed another 4ml of ammonia (day 14). I plan on testing my water parameters tomorrow, 24hrs later and see where we’re at. Hopeful the cycle has started and back to zero again.

I plan on adding a pair of clowns as my first fish to the system once ready. My lfs has a pair of mocha storms that I would love to scoop up, but don’t want to rush anything. Slow and steady is all I keep telling myself.

Thats a great looking tank! Thats awesome wwc hooked you up, even set up, I hate to say I'm really curious about the price, thats allot of tank and parts and services. You don't have to say it doesn't matter, its a great looking tank and should last you a very long time, did you get the stand with it, I love the oversized stand.

Thank you so much. Yes, it’s was a lot of parts, service, and price…. but it was wayyyy cheaper that buying it all new to say the least. Yes, custom oversized stand was also included in the purchase.

Well after 24 hours after adding the 4ml of ammonia - ammonia - 0, nitrites - 0, nitrate - maybe a 1 or 2 hard to tell.

Any opinions on fish to add? I would love to hear suggestions and “do’s and dont’s”.

I can’t seem to find my camera lenses so apologies for the blue photo. Picked up 2 mocha storm clowns and ready to start stocking some more fish.
