I dropped my Hanna Ca checker today with a full vial ( sample ready to be read) and the vial broke inside the checker. Purple water everywhere.
I cleaned up the mess and then attempted to clean out the checker. After flushing out the unit with RO/DI several times, I blew it out with canned air to dry it.
I have not tried to use it yet. Already have a new one in my Amazon cart. I’m just not sure I can trust future test results. What would Y’all do?

Remove the battery, take it completely apart, wash everything including electronics in RODI water. Then dry everything at room temperature for a day or so. Reassemble. If nothing shorted already due to the battery being plugged in, it will likely work just fine.

Get the new one for $50, can't trust results from the damaged one.
They are sensitive as it is.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. I ordered the new one but I’m going to do tests “side by side” just to see if it still works!
I guess I’ll be the “crash test dummy” ! LOL!
