Awesome design. Who manufactured your tank? Also let me say that your photos and tank are beautiful. Thank you for not over filtering like some due. The true, natural look is best.
I 'm from Taiwan and the tank was custom made from a local manufacturer.
Thanks for your appreciation~

Quantum Meter MQ-510
I recently borrowed a Quantum Meter, so I can finally check the light intensity of each position in the tank~

In order to prevent water from splashing out due to earthquakes, the top of the fish tank is usually covered with glass.

It is difficult to test with a glass cover, so the above data were all measured without a glass cover.

According to test, covering the glass will make the PAR value attenuated by 50~100.

The more the water flow changes, the larger the jump range of the PAR value will be.

Off-Camera Flash~

Use the flash to easily capture more detailed photos.
Although it is not suitable for corals, it is very useful for fishes.

In order to avoid glass reflection problems, it is better to use off-camera flash.

Death of the urchin

A few days ago, I found that the urchin in the tank lost its spines a lot, and its activity was very low, and there was no abnormality in the tank.

Poor health may be caused by lack of food and today it finally can't move at all...

There are two sea urchins in the tank, they were presented by aquarists in September 2019.
Their size increases only slightly.

I don't know if it's because the growth rate in artificial aquariums of this size is relatively low
(I know that very small ones grow up very fast), or the food in my aquarium is too lacking.
I observed that they were always busy, excreting from time to time to add food for everyone, so I didn't think much about it.

I didn't expect to end up regretting the death.

The one left in the tank seems to have to be fed Grape Caulerpa once in a while.

Two big guys were given by aquarists, one orange spines and one white spines~
The one who died this time was White Spines~

Those pics were taken with EM1 markII & a flash FL50R.

TG6 also has the ability to control the off-camara flash , but the focus speed and image quality will be weaker.
The photos below were taken with TG6

Unable to adjust the angle of the trigger flash, it is easy to produce reflections on the glass.
