Real quick Tank 2 Alk tested at 8.1 today. Im going to call .1 movement no movement at all considering it could be user error.
Hit with same 15ml A4R and see if it sticks

I may have to take back everything bad I've said about Zoas. It appears the GMK look exactly like the pix do in brs spectrum

Water change day in the lagoon. Total wreck haha.
Tank 2-
8.1 alk. Not sure if I can officially say if I got it locked but I'm gonna continue to roll until the wheels fall off this 15ml A4R and continue to report back.
Lagoon jumped up to 9.1 Alk with water change. Of all times to make a booboo. I make a booboo with sticks in it! To date its been locked with not much movement at all. Are the shroom or stick gods trying to tell me something?

Anyhow hope it settles out and everything is ok. Technically its pretty much within .5 of the 8.5 its been running!

Not really sure how but it appears I'm growing some sticks and gonis. Sticks are glowing and I can see polyps extending from pretty much everywhere

Truth in reefing update.
Since ive thrown the sticks in i experienced my first real alk spike with last water change.
Now I've gone and left my ato off since Wednesday during clean session for tank 2. Note to self- why didn't you put the T inline for tank 2 yet? Its only been sitting here on the desk in my face for about 2 months now!
Haven't really made any of these rookie mistakes in a pretty long time.
I guess let's get them all out of the way right up front and break these bad boys in haha idk man but glad I started with a slimer until I get things tightened back up again haha

Lighting ExperiMentals are over for me.
At 18" above water line im not getting much of a par difference but maybe 10-15 with the coral,purple or blue+ bulbs.
Brs mentioned the v2+ gets closer to true actinic than some and perhaps thats why my all my corals appear to love the addition of only the actinic bulbs. The others just make it way bright and actually kinda stress my fish and some shrooms out. Realisticly the slimer and goni retracted polyps and so did a few of my other light sensitive shrooms. In particular magic carpet with the other 3 bulbs on.
So its official. Ive said it before that brs really did nail it with this lamp. Run the reccomemned settings and see for your self. Pop some actinic bulbs in t5 if your looking to supplement what its actually lacking.
What i will be doing is sticking to throwing Moar white channel at them slowly until they tell me they don't want no MOAR. For now its been nothing but positive reactions to full spectrum.

Whats wierd is even sps retracted polyps when I threw the other bulbs in.True Actinic has been around a lot longer than any leds/blue+ /purp+/etc...
Really am leaning towards healthy spectrum. Maybe the led is providing enough of what the other bulbs are pushing idk.
Brs said the v2+ lacks a little with true actinic. Im supplementing true actinic and reef is loving me for it
