I thought we were supposed to like our animals here and try to give them the best?

Now we’re just like “eh it might be ok who knows?”

Bad look for the hobby.
Your belief that the fish is abused or unhappy is based on what, given the lack of information provided?

LOL... and everyone on the "Tang Police Force" are Vegans... :thinking-face: :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
You should always provide the best care for your animals as your situation dictates.
But some need to get off of their high horse and let that horse return to the wild or they are just being hypocrites. You can't judge who can or can't based on a sliding scale to suit your platform.

People should not be shamed but educated.

People can be hunters and still be respectful of nature.
I am a hunter and have many big and small game under my belt. My biggest joy is seeing game outside of hunting season and enjoying them. I take people out off season using my skill to show them the animals in the wild. We as hunters and fisherman are the true conservation people. Most of us truly love animals

Don't you guys see the hypocrisy in your stance?

I find it silly that we have drawn the line on what water volume is adequate for a fish.

I also find it silly how someone who feels it, ok, to pull a fish from the ocean to put in a large tank has the nerve to tell someone they can't keep a fish in yet a smaller tank.

Given that perspective, taking a fish from hundreds of thousands of gallons of swimming space to 200g is a lot worse than comparing a fishes happiness in a 200g vs a 20g.

That line of thinking is no different than people saying that you shouldn't have fish in a tank at all. Actually it is different, because there's no hypocrisy when saying that.
