It is just sitting on the acrylic, the feet are rubber pads and there is minimal slack in the return line so the pump doesn’t really move around. All the noise I hear is the water coming out of the return and clashing with the water from the power head.
@DungSl1nger my bad. I was referring to this post. I thought you had noise from vibration and not clashing water.

and then a GHL Profilux 4 mega set and KH Director.

Issue one, with the upgraded sump there isn't enough room for me to mount it in the tank stand and keep it away from salt creep or a overflowing skimmer splash.

Issue two, it took over three hours to connect to GHL Connect last night. I don’t know why but I did have to reset my entire home network.

issue three, I consistently get a PH of 8.2 with my RedSea PH test but the GHL is measuring 3.4 this morning after calibrating the probe twice this morning.

update on the Fiji Cube sump. I will no longer recommend it The probe holder it comes with does a terrible job holding the probes and macro algae always ends up in the display tank because the weir baffle allows it to

New update. I have long hated the rock work in my tank. Part of this was due to me being cheap and trying to do the 1.5 pounds a gallon recommendation. I chose dry rock because of pests but after reading the bacteria thread I made the decision to try “live rock” so without further ado.. I present 20 pounds of well packed rock.

I am happy with the rock and cannot wait for it to cure before redoing the tank aquascape.

Nice! Score on those bristleworms! What kind of star HH did you get?

It appears to be just a couple of fancy brittle stars. I also found 2 crabs: a red mithrax and a white one with black claws.
Nice! The Serpent Stars are really cool to watch when they come out at night. I like to drop a Mysis right in front of his cave every once in a while.

The black claw crab sounds like a Gorilla.. might want to post a pic for others to confirm.

I can imagine. I look forward to watching them grow.

Finally, got the KP aquatics rock cured (2 weeks) and in. As much as I like the minimalist look, the goal is to keep the Mandarin fat.

It looks really nice and colorful with the new live rock.
And I’m so jealous of your mandarin too.

I’m gonna follow along and try and learn what you are doing to create the best environment for the little guy.

Thank you! I am 100x happier with the new rock. I was able to add more cave so the fish should be more relieved. I am adding pods every week, and he eats frozen twice a day.

My big concern now is how with my frogskin respond. For the most part I have low nitrates and phosphate without micro-algae or dosing. I am trying to bring that up with feeding.

So it’s been a while since I updated this. My big update is the installation of a GHL P4 and KH Director. They were a pain to set up and dial in but now they are very close to my Hannah Checkers so I am trusting of them.

With the addition of the aquacultured rock my calcium dropped like a rock. I am making the assumption it is due to the coralline algae. At present I am using kalkwasser to maintain it in between water changes.

Next, change was the addition of the Klir DI-4. I chose to go this route to because I do travel a bit.

With the addition of the rock I have found a red Mithrax crab, a 6-7 inch bristle worm, and some filter feeders I am still trying to figure out

Finally, I added a Tiger Pistol shrimp

But I also lost? A Diamond goby, he has been missing for 10 days and I searched everywhere.
