I have an odd conundrum....

I have my 48” DX18 connected to my Apex V1/V2 with the Kessil control cable. I have the DX18 power connected to one of the EB32 outlets. I followed the programming guide on the Neptune Apex forums and have dimming schedules for each bank.

The problem is, that I can’t get both banks to be on at the same time (AUTO or ON). If I have the Outer bank on, then turn on the Inner bank, the outer bulbs go off. Now if I have the Inner bank on first, the Outers will not come on. If I unplug the Apex connector cable, both banks come on 100%.

I don’t know if this is an Apex problem, cabling problem, or DX18 problem.

Any ideas?

Not likely but can you test test.

If you remove the lamps from the inner and turn the fixture on do the outer lamps turn on?

if you remove the outer and have the inners in place do they turn on?

Trying to verify if something would be crossed in the fixture or elsewhere.

Unplugged the Outer bulbs.
Inners work as they should.

Unplugged the Inners.
Inner channel OFF
Outers work in AUTO and ON modes.
Inner channel ON
Outer dims to its “power off” state.

The higher I adjust the Inner bulbs intensities, the dimmer the outer bulbs get starting at about 55%. This leads me to believe there‘s something in the Apex that is balancing the power between the channels...

So the wires would not seem to be crossed.

Can you dim the inner or outers individually from 0 - 100%? with the opposite lamps unplugged just to make sure?

Same behavior with bulbs removed. It seems the Apex is power balancing the V2 depending on where V1 is...

I couldn’t find any settings in the Apex that might be causing this. I changed to the other Var ports with the same behavior.
Here’s a video showing what’s going on:
