A lot of people use filters like polpy lab lense kits to help cut out the actinic glow, it can help a lot however it’s helpful to also post pictures during daylights along with the actinic

i have heard quiet a few things about those lenses. Do they have anything for taking those high quality photos like a “macro” shot.

Here’s an easy difference with it, plus it comes with a macro lense that helps if you have a frag rack and can move it up high to where you can get your iPhone a few inches from the coral.

I just put a frag rack near the surface, put the frags on it (either laying down or upright, or both), turn off the pumps and take the iPhone photos. I have 14k lights, so I do not need to filter anything.

Whiter lighting helps a lot and no flow with frag at surface mentioned above.

For that super colorful glow, the clip on lens kits are the way to go.
I have the reefingart kit.

Same technique but crank the blues up all the way and no white :)

Here are some straight top-down iPhone photos with no filters. Colors could be better, but I don't care enough to get out the 5d, lenses, avast portal and then edit them. Key is to get the water really still and if you have a 10 or above, then take the photos with the bracketing and then it will smooth out all of the motion for you.

You can see how the light reflecting affects the color in the second photo, so try and keep your lights from reflecting - I sometimes use my hand to shield the shot, but not so much that the corals get dull.
