I have a couple of upgraded EB832s available:

What would be the benefit of doing an upgraded one vs a new one? I read that the new ones don't need to be upgraded but I don't know much personally.
Thanks!

A couple of reasons actually. Neptune never acknowledged any issues with their EB832s, so you can't just choose or ask for the "newer" model and expect that you will get one that does not fail within 6 months. Second, EB832s have more than one flaw and to my knowledge Neptune did not address them nor are there any plans to do so. Last but not least, with the new unit you are still paying the higher MAP pricing for a gamble.
