I'm currently have 2 Nanobox LED pucks retrofitted into my Biocube hood. I bought two spare pucks and will be retrofitting a total of 4 pucks into my 36" TEK Elite T5 fixture for a killer LED/T5 setup for my next upgrade.

Love It :D

lol,
Took me 7 hours to mod those Kessil's in my factory canopy. Hand to band saw and sand down the 5" heat sinks to 3.75" and then all the wires

(Kessil advised me) and it was worth it but... (lol) I'm done doing anymore lighting mods

Seriously, if you're doing a mixed reef, you'll be okay with three Radions as long as you're careful with your rockscape and coral placement. For me, being in the hobby for almost 20 years, through power compact lighting, metal halide lighting and now LED, I'm very familiar with the benefits and limitations of each method. Since my next tank and upgrade will be 100% wall to wall SPS, I'm very confident upgrading to a T5/LED hybrid set up.

Again, everyone's mileage will very depending upon the goals you have for your tank and it's inhabitants.

Sorry for hi-jacking...:(

If money is not the issue get the Giesemann Aurora-Hybrid LED/T5 Fixture.

Or the ATI led/t5 PowerModule Hybrid.

:D

Now with them lights are there any functions with them? Like wireless control? Changing and tuning the lights to different spectrums?

So what would you suggest as I'll have a lot of sps, lps, hard corals and nems.

Seriously:
If it were me... I'd go with 2 Kessil AP700's.

1)They've always done a great job for my reefs.
2)Their customers service is second to none.
3)The have the Kessil Logic built in.
4)They have about the best natural shimmer on the market.

That's JMO...

Regards, GoVols

Are their par ratings better than the radions? I was thinking with either ones I go with kessil or echotech I can always add 2 t5 fixtures one in the front and back correct?

Lets see.

@Broadfield

Would the: Aurora 60" T5 LED Hybrid - Giesemann Pull off a 72" long reef?

Thanks, GoVols

For sure.... that only leaves 6" of uncovered tank at each end. The fixture can just be ran a tad higher, if necessary, to get a little more coverage at the ends. Heck, you would still get nice coverage without having it up higher. On top of that, most people don't have corals at the very ends of the tank any way.

How many kessil ap700s would I need? Now with my tank and where it is position to the far left I only have a 12in clearance from rim of tank to ceiling due to a box that holds heater pipes the middle and right side have 2ft or more of room from rim of tank to ceiling
