*** I will NOT separate ***

I was running 5 of these on my tank which was overkill. I finally decided to remove one. Purchased April 15th, Installed April 22nd, and removed today. I used it for about 9 week at 25% on the AB+ template. Comes with every single thing as if it were new; every last screw, bolt etc. Fully updated and factory reset, ready for mobious detection. There are no cracks on anywhere. The black bottom faceplate did have a crack which was replaced under warranty. The original is included.

- XR30 G5 Blue
- RMS Arm w/ all 3 length extension rails (fits G4)
- RMS arms adaptor kit for G5 mounting
- Diffusers

Sept 4th 2020 Manuf Date.

$780 shipped. Pick up available in central easy coast Florida.

I also have a Mobious RF chip which you can install on older ecotech devices. $15 with purchase of XR30.

Do you think one would be good for 3 ft 65 gal mixed or would I need 2?

Maximum Spread - 32" x 32".... so your tank being 36... means you should be ok since most people don't have coral to the very edges of the tank. So assuming 5 inches edges from each side you, your actual coverage area is probably around 26 inches. You would hang the light left to right.

For max coverage, i would run two XR30s front to back. Eliminates all shadowing and allows for nice even par distribution. I found 14-15 inches apart when running more than 1 is perfect.

Another option would be to run 2x XR15s... those would be great for your tank as well. May be a better option for you depending on how deep your tank is.

Wow thanks so much for that info. I’m pretty new to the hobby. My tank is about 22” deep. I think the two xr15’s might be a little better for my situation? Thanks again

If you're new to the hobby, then i dont expect you to jump into heavy SPS situations where max coverage will be needed.

- 2x XR30 would be the ultimate setup when you need it.
- 2x XR15 would be more than enough for your situation.
- 1x XR30 would also be more than enough in your situation.

Remember 2x XR15s is pretty much 1x XR30.

22 inch deep, so lets say you have 3-5 inches of space in the front and back. Actual coverage needed is 12-16 inches which an XR15 can do easily.

Maximum Spread: 24" x 24"
Recommended Spread: 18" x 18"

I suggest you watch some of the BRS investigate reviews on youtube. They explain everything well. Also take a look at the build thread for tank similar to yours. Compare, pick their brains etc. Lastly it will come down to your budget. I will say this, try to look into the future and just bite the bullet if your wallet allows. Buying stuff over and over just adds to an already pricey hobby.

If you have any other questions, message me. I'll be glad to help.
