@Petcrazyson Dr Reef sent me some pictures of a white tail that they were able to get from Tahiti for me. What do you think?

Looks healthy and the tail looks nice. A little skinny but that can be fixed. Only thing I see is on the first picture there appears to be something on it?

So a brief update:

The torch I ordered from a vendor here came with a super small base and cracked when trying to remove from the plug. It currently has this slime on it so I don’t know if it’s going to make it. If anyone has any advice please let me know. Not going crazy over it though as it’s not what I ordered…

Impulsively bought a banana torch a week ago that is so far doing well. Idiot noob that I am, didn’t research it before to know it’s one of the most difficult torches…

Pink Goni is doing pretty well and so are my more expensive zoas and torches. So fingers crossed that I didn’t pull the ultimate noob move and waste tons of money killing corals…

The Royal Gramma and Midas Blenny have settled in nicely and are amazing to watch in the tank.

Best news for last, my wantanabe angel and yellow watchman goby arrived today!! Just finished acclimating!!!!

Removed the torch with the brown jelly. Other torches seem to be thriving though… jester just split and now has 4 heads and my black light torch split into 3!

Best news yet, just saw the snake eel demolish a ghost shrimp for the first time! I haven’t seen him eat in over a month!!! So satisfying!

Just lost the watchman goby that came three days ago and the Firefish it seems… now I’m unsure what I can replace them with as I do want a snowflake eel. Was looking at a copperband butterfly, dragon pipefish, Picasso trigger, moorish idol, or a box fish… any thoughts? Would definitely appreciate the help.

Not to be a party pooper lol, but pass on all those fish ideas. CBB and pipefish best to wait until your much more experienced, Picassos get too big and go after gobies and smaller fish, Moorish Idols get huge and are almost impossible to keep same as the box fish.

What did you loose your goby from?

Idk it came white but had a small temp drop. Firefish have been gone for days though. Maybe I’ll just do a gem tang instead of all three…

If you get a Gem pay attention on the way he acts around your Angel and vis versa when introduced
So all of the sudden the Firefish popped up so I have at least 1/2. But I ordered a red velvet fairy wrasse today! Super excited.

I thought you said it was dead? These guys along with wrasse and gobies have the habit for disappearing for days and weeks on end only to pop up again. Don’t count them out yet.

Ok I have kind of let this die down but I’ve had a ton of updates, which is why I haven’t had time to update the thread.

I suffered an Ich outbreak from adding in a conditioned red velvet wrasse from WWC. Set up a UV, the new Red Sea pump, and bought tons of new foods and live black worms to build immunity. I debated taking everything out and quarantining but decided against it as I would have to tear the entire tank apart to catch the Firefish.

As a reward to myself for passing my federal exam I bought some new torches that include a tiger torch, dragon tamer, Knicks, and some random hammer. A friend of mine just gifted me my first acros as well! The tsa bill murray, atl joleen, and rainbow fiji miyagi tort.

I also just set up a 15 gallon observation tank and my orbit 20 jelly tank! Will send pics as soon as the cycle is complete!!

Balancing parameters is definitely a learning curve and I’m hoping I don’t kill too many acros…

I’ll post some pics and keep learning!!
