Elos tank showed up today... but its not all good news.

So, I've been waiting for my Elos tank to show up from Italy... it was shipped FedEx, and today when it was dropped off there was shipping crate damage that apparently happened in Tennessee. I won't know if the tank suffered any damage until I can completely unbox it on Thursday. I hope it's OK... FedEx did give me paperwork stating they we're aware of the damage.

Here is a short video of the damage... so sad, I hope its OK.

So if Fedx taking responsibility for the damage?

Good luck, I sure hope the tank is not compromised.

Yes... FedEx did take responsibility, They gave me all the paper work I should need if there is an issue. I will setup the tank and leak test on Thursday... I really hope it's OK.

There is now way I could wait to see if it was damaged I would have already leak tested it!!!! But good luck hopefully it's just the crate.

Man , Elos is such an high standard product i could cry if i would see it arrive like that. Its like the ferarri`s of the reef tanks. Did you get the full diamond version? or the essential?

Ya... it's killing me. I did get in there with a flashlight and look around. But the way the crate is I need two people and I live in the boonies so I'm stuck until tomorrow.

I think that the tank will be okay. I received my Elos 160XL from Elos Italy earlier this year, and when you fully open the crate, you will see how well it is packed in there. It should be strapped, sitting on top of thick styrofoam. There is also a thick blue foam covering the top of each side. I am not sure what size you ordered, but I can tell you that my tank was extremely heavy. You will be very happy with your Elos. This is my third Elos tank.

why not wait till after you test it to post this? I get damaged shipping containers in all the time probably once a month and it rarely relates to a damaged producT. Good luck.
