I woke up to a mushroom frag torn from it's plug. I think he wasn't necessarily going after the coral as there was some algae around there but he wasn't car ful enough so he lost his job.

And you know its the crab how?

the little guy had a piece of my ricordea in his claw and my ricordea was Mia (floating around). it was already not the best ricordea so I tossed it. maybe could've lived but as I said it was kind of on the rebound.

He was just fragging the coral for you trying to be helpful lol

Biological controls are sometimes more like guidelines. Lots of biological solutions don't work out 100%. Great when they do, theres plenty of threads like this one that suggest they is only guidelines in this hobby.

And now I suggest we all give a moment of silence to ponder the OP's loss of a ricordia. Even the dumpy ones are like $10.00 at many lfs these day.
