My clownfish was fine until I woke up today. He looks terrible. The clear part of his fins are white and slightly frayed. And his dorsal fins are clamped. My goby has fungus on his tail. I have kanaplex, neoplex, metroplex, and focus medicated food. Will that help fungus on the outside? I can't quarantine them because my quarantine fish are not sick and I don't want to infect them. I also have corals in my tank so I can't put the kanaplex in the water.

Please keep the replies coming.

Are both clowns affected? How long have you had them? Can you post you water chem parameters?

Eagle_Steve's post is a way of calling in the cavalry - some of the best reefkeepers on this forum monitor that hashtag, and it's going to bring people (like Jay Hemdal) who will be best able to help you.

Marine fungus are very rare, so your goby probably has a bacterial infection, and I suspect the clown does also. Does your Kanaplex have instructions for mixing with Focus? That might be your best bet given the circumstances.

I agree on bacterial issue . It represents brook but the behavior is slightly different. Likely triggered by water quality (filtration , overfeeding, etc), as the key to preventing disease is to keep the tank as clean as possible by keeping up with routine water changes and to replace your filter media on a regular basis.
You should also be careful to avoid overfeeding your fish because any uneaten fish food will simply sink to the bottom of the tank and accumulate as organic debris which could have a negative effect on the water quality in your tank. As detritus such as uneaten fish food and solid waste accumulates, the ammonia and nitrate levels in your tank are likely to rise which causes an increase in the stress levels of your fish and eventually fungus and bacteria.

I’m not part of Reef Squad (I’m actually from “Grief Squad”) but from the title I cuddled swore a great white shark came through the sewage system, up the drain and occupied your tank ....
