And in other great news my old Hanna test kit was crap. 9.5 lol I new something was off good thing I did not change much tank is running at 7.8 as usual with the normal dosage so happy agian!!!

That’s why it’s good to go slow imagine I changed all sorts of stuff chasing alk and problem was never there.

So it looks like I’m gonna place an order for some more sps Frags this week from acro-Ed another pack and then I’ll be done on sps for a little min.


Time to move one to some other stuff after this. Thinking it’s time to get some bounce mushrooms and more clams.

Did a small rescape of tank and I am happy moved the monti rock lower. I unfortunately found some monti eating nudi and have been manually attacking them and there eggs with super glue. Witch leads me to my next thought it also time for some fish so next month when it’s time to buy fish tank stuff agian since I want the sps pack more this week I’m gonna add a yellow coris wrasse and a biota mandarin also a DD lid for tank. Also gonna get a bottle of dip in three years I’ve never dipped corals but at this point I have to much invested not to start taking extra steps.

Witch leads me to my next thought. I need a bigger tank lol

I can’t afford a 2k system new so I’m thinking of maybe saving up 1k and trying to find something nice on Craigslist or saving up plus a bonus check until macna and see if I could make something happen while there. I want something over a 100gallons and preferably a cube or a non traditional tank so to speak.

In mistakes made this week I forgot to fill my doser containers and my alk has fell to 6.8 lol funny thing is I’m happy I’ve been longing the day to chase alk and I’m happy at these levels hoping to even out back around 7.5 in a couple of days. Aquaforest probiotic method works well man. Those drops from pro bio s brought new life to my skimmer. So all in all happy.

No loses as of late and my bowser Frag that floated a week ago I thought I would never see agian I noticed today floating at top of tank I was so happy lol!!!! $100 hundred dollar find lol

My stock list after one year of rebooting the tank after hurricane crash what do you think?

Just placed an order for 5lbs of stax rocks want to build two structures hoping for at least 6 good pieces 2 for my torch to have a forever home and the rest for my sps Frags that come on Tuesday am.

They will only be in tank one day before hand so hopefully ill have no issues

So I added 5lbs of STAX rocks to my tank today and I love the rocks. I must say if I ever start a new tank hopefully in a year or so I’m definitely gonna go with this rock for most all of the structure.

I definitely don’t have the guts to remove to much as every time I put my hand in tank I break a sps frag lol this time it was the blue stag. But for better or worse it was at bottom of tank and not too happy and the base is still there maybe it makes it, so now it’s on it’s new shelf up top. Tomorrow I’ll be receiving an additional 6 sps Frags to be mounted on the new rock shelf I made. Also a a new chalice

In hindsight I thought I would have more space adding this rock but now my tank just too full I think but when acros grow it will be nice I did like the open space I had but a lot of these acros are just to close together and I know it. A year from now I might run into some issues but I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.

It did give me lot of new spots to move corals so I moved the torch. And broke a rock into two and made its own ledge also I i used the other half to give my monti island higher and really create what will look like a floating island.

I also moved the Red Robin frag, the blueberry wine and the other small piece of Oregon tort.

Tank is dirty rock is white glass is filthy but I’m happy with all the new spots I have for now. Going to let everyone relax for the night as I’m off tomorrow and new Frags are coming. So will let islet chill and maybe adjust a little for everything’s final spots.

So for now I’m done with coral for a few months. I won’t spend any more money I do want to now trade some of my doubles and the green cactus sps crazy how you want all these corals and then you get to a point where you have too much.

What my next purchases over next 90 days will be?

Another 1k gyre funny I see people say in nanos my gyre Is too strong lol I don’t get it I need another one for sure especially with all this sps in tank. Also I built my structure off the egg crate so believe it or not I’ll say less than 15% of my rock is actually in the sand water flows right below all of it because it’s elevated. Either way I need more flow imo.

I think I want the ati hybrid fixture. So I see lots of nano tanks with 1 AI prime doing great I have a AI Hydra 52 seems like a lot but man to be honest I have a lot of shadows and my sps are only Frags. So I do think I need more light as crazy as that sounds so long term I want the 24in ati fixture to add to tank.

Also maybe in a month or I plan of buying a fragging kit so I can make Frags when time comes also to cut away the top of all the egg crate. Once new corals settles I’ll finish spot super glueing the rock and cut away all visible egg crate from top of tank.

That’s all I got till tomorrow. Also gonna make my second YouTube video tomorrow with an unboxing and what not so check me out!

Looks good! I am also considering a second 1k gyre. Mine is vertical and I am considering a vertical on the other side to get some more turbulence. Only concern is having the anemone on that other side, but he has never moved from his spot, even stayed exactly put during the move.

That’s my next fear. Flow is completely different now in tank. That bta gets big sometimes and I really don’t want it to get close to my sps Frags but tank is small. It has not moved in a long time but with torch so close now I’m not sure...


I definitely need more flow in tank. I’ll get one eventually I’m starting to get the eye so I’m gonna hold off on boxes arriving lol [emoji23]

So new Frags came in and all are nOw mounted. I did 5 of the plugs and mount directly on the rocks. Took some photos and can’t wait for later when blues are really on.
