Yea I have a lot of corals in here now excited to see how they all end up growing together.

Mandarin not doing good at all infancy it jumped a few days later glad I did not spend big money on the biotas. I’m considering putting the lid but I really don’t want too. I have found a source for the biotas locally so I’ll been getting a pair when there ready in about two weeks.

Mandarin not doing good at all infancy it jumped a few days later glad I did not spend big money on the biotas. I’m considering putting the lid but I really don’t want too. I have found a source for the biotas locally so I’ll been getting a pair when there ready in about two weeks.

Sorry to hear he jumped. I wasn’t a fan of the stock IM lid because of the light it blocked and also reflected up. You could order one or make one pretty cheap with clear netting and window screen frame. It would sit on the stock lid rests.

Well I just don’t like the look of the lid on the rimless tank. But I do want more than two fish so I’m torn between what I should do

Yea my original glass lid fell and broke years ago. I emailed IM and no luck on replacing.

I’ve been looking at custom lid from top lids or a DD Pro Diy kit

Thanks I definitely am on the watch as it gets big. I did place it on its own island so if it gets bigger I can move it up by add more of the stax rock.

And with all this good luck I suppose something bad would eventually happen. But it’s okay a loss is a humbling experience sometimes telling you slow down. Well this lesson cost me a PC Rainbow frag unfortunately I placed it on a ledge to close to my acans today and one of my clowns I assume knocked it over and it fell right in the mouth. When I came home and was taking my daily look I noticed the frag sticking out of the acan.

Other than that tank is looking good.

Checked up on my WD and it has completely healed up. I believe mine will be more of the purple blueish base and yellow looking polyps variety.

Going to do a water change Thursday and record some new stuff for YouTube this week. Once my brs order arrives Think I’m going to take a deep dive on AquaForest products I have and use.

Thinking about corals and stuff I want next in order.

So my vacation starts today! Ten days off will be dropping off my 4 year old daughter Khaleesi to jamica to visit grandparents for a few weeks then ten days off at home. Plan to do some long need maintenance.

Step one dip all monti and digi again as the first round lasted a few weeks but there back up on the forest fire digi.

Step two really clean glass lol I short cut on this I only clean the parts I look through.

Step three really clean equipment my hydor skimmer kind of sucks but the least I can do is clean it. My ice cap gyre is filthy and needs a good vinegar run.

Step four run Media reactor in same vinegar bath the tubes are disgusting and I’m sure I’m losing flow in there. While at it change out zeolites and carbon.

Step five get all detritus out of this tank back chambers are full. I removed the black tint so I can see back there purposefully for this reason. Also blow rocks.

Step six do two 20% water changes one while blowing rocks and one after a few days later and then go back to monthly water changes.

Step seven cut more egg crate out and glue rocks together. I’m afraid there gonna fall on day and I’ve come to far to trust my balancing skills.

After that let it chill and keep my hand out for a month that’s my plan. We shall see what gets accomplished on the list.
